Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking has teamed up with MHA to support its 2015 Manufacturing and Engineering Survey. The MHA is an association of accountancy and business advisory firms who provide sector specific accountancy services and business advice. With manufacturing and engineering as a key sector for MHA, they assist both clients and the sector to promote manufacturing and engineering throughout Scotland.
Through the sponsorship, Bank of Scotland invited clients during July to complete the MHA survey as a barometer of SME manufacturing businesses. The survey results were published in September.
David Atkinson, Head of Manufacturing at Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking said: “Supporting manufacturing businesses is a pivotal part of our commitment to driving the economy, so we were pleased to support MHA's 4th annual Manufacturing and Engineering Survey.
This is the latest in a line of initiatives designed to ensure that we are constantly improving our sector knowledge to support manufacturers, as well as access to funding to help realise their growth ambitions.”
Chris Coopey Head of the Manufacturing Group at MHA says:
“Our 2015 survey highlights the opportunities and issues faced by manufacturers and engineers at all points in the supply chain and we're excited that this year, the survey has been supported by the Manufacturing team at Bank of Scotland, whose commitment to the sector is well established.”
“The final report with analysis from the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick and from Philippa Oldham Ceng MIMechE, Head of Transport and Manufacturing at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers makes interesting reading for businesses and policy makers alike.”
