Stop a cheque

You can stop a cheque that you’ve issued on Business Internet Banking.

But if the cheque has already been cashed then you won’t be able to stop it. Instead, you’ll need to ask the recipient to refund you the money.

To stop a cheque using Business Internet Banking, you’ll need to log in. Log in to Business Internet Banking

 

If you see the new look, use these steps

  1. Select 'More' underneath the account the cheque was issued from.
  2. Select 'Manage this account' then 'Stop a cheque'.
  3. Complete the form.
 

If you don’t see the new look, use these steps

  1. Select 'More Actions' from the account the cheque was issued from.
  2. Select 'Account Services' then Request to stop a cheque.
  3. Complete the form.
