Paying in cheques

Using a paying-in slip

  • Use a paying-in slip and cheque deposit envelope to pay in cheques over the counter. You must use your pre-printed paying-in book for this.
  • Cheques paid in this way take an extra working day to reach your account, on top of the normal cheque clearing cycle.
  • If you’re paying in cash and cheques at the same time, use a separate paying-in slip for each.

The Post Office® will provide cheque deposit envelopes.
