School Bank Account*

If you’re an academy, multi-academy trust or state-funded school and the account will be used to receive state funding, you can apply for our specialist school account.

This account must be used for core school activities such as payroll and receiving funding.

Independent schools that are registered with Companies House can apply for our business account.

Community Accounts

Looking for an account to help you run additional activities such as clubs and parent teacher associations? 

If this is not the primary account for the school and not receiving state funding, you can apply for a community account. 

No more than £250,000 should be paid into the account every 12 months.

Free day-to-day banking applies if you continue to meet our eligibility criteria, which means you must be a state-funded school or academy.
