Make a change on your business accounts
Need to make changes to your business accounts? If you’re already registered, Business Internet Banking is the easiest way to make changes.
You can:
- Add people who can act on behalf of the business, for example, make payments
- Set up new Business Internet Banking users
- Order debit cards for new users
- Remove people from your business accounts.
You’ll find support with carrying out any of these tasks by clicking ‘Help’ when logged into Business Internet Banking.
Need to make multiple changes?
If you need to make other changes or have multiple changes you want to make at the same time, our online form can be used.
You can:
- Add people who can act on behalf of the business, for example, open an account.
- Remove people from your business account
- Make changes for people already on your business account
- Change the level of account access
- Add or remove online banking
- Order or cancel a debit or credit card
- Order a cheque or paying-in book
Before you start
You’ll need:
- Your main business account number and sort code
- Details of any accounts you want to update
- Name, email address and mobile number of any signatory who needs to approve this request
If you’re adding a person to your accounts, you’ll also need their:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Email address and phone number
- Personal address history for the past three years

Your approvers are the people listed as signatories on your mandate. A mandate shows who is named on your account and what they can do.
Need a copy of your mandate?
If you need a copy of your mandate, try asking a colleague in your business first. Otherwise you can get in touch with us.

You may be in a situation where the people on your mandate can’t approve your changes. For example, if a signatory has left the business but is still on your mandate.
In cases like this, the form will give you the option to complete and upload a board resolution. Feel free to save your progress at this point and come back later.

All approvers can review and approve changes online. They just need an email address and a UK mobile number. If they have trouble reviewing the request, they should get in touch.

It’s quick and easy to request changes once you’ve registered for Business Internet Banking.
If you don’t have access, and you need to add people to or remove people from your business accounts, please fill out and print the relevant form below. Then sign it, collect signatures from anyone who needs to approve the changes, and email or post the form to us.
