First time log in

Follow the steps below to login to Business Internet Banking for the first time.

Before you start, you’ll need:

  1. Your User ID – this will have been posted or emailed to you.
  2. Your card reader – this will have been posted to you.
  3. Authentication card – this will have been posted to you.
If you have other business accounts with us, you can use the authentication cards attached to them.
  4. PIN – this will have been posted to you.
  5. Temporary password – this will have been sent to you by text.

You must have all the above before proceeding, unless you use personal internet banking with Bank of Scotland.  Existing Bank of Scotland personal internet banking users can go straight to step three.

How to log in to mobile banking step one

Step 1

Go to the Business Internet Banking  login page.

In the ‘User ID’ field, enter the User ID that we sent you by either post or email.

Step 3

You’ll be asked to create your memorable information. This might be used to identify you when logging in.

If you use Bank of Scotland personal online banking, this step will not be displayed.

Step 4

Next, we’ll ask you to use your card and reader. Check that the last 5 digits of the card are the same as the ones displayed on the login screen.  You can amend the digits by clicking in the box on the screen.

Select the ‘Identify’ button on your card reader.  Use the PIN you received by post and select ‘Enter’.

An 8-digit number will be displayed on the card reader.  Key this number into the box on the logon page and press ‘Continue’.

Trusting the browser on your device

This is a security feature.  Trusting your browser makes logging in quicker as you will only need to key in characters from your memorable information and won’t need to use your card and reader.

You’ll eventually be asked to trust the browser on your device.

If you login using a different browser or device, the trusted status won’t carry over and you’ll be asked again if you want to trust the device.
