Delegated Authority
Delegating access to Internet Banking
As a business owner or account signatory, you can allow specified personnel to access your Business Internet Banking accounts. Delegate access allows you to set different levels of online access for each of your Internet Banking users depending on their role and your business requirements.
When you register for Internet Banking you’ll be asked whether or not you are an account signatory on the business, this will then determine the access level you will apply for.
-
Account signatory
An account signatory has full access, allowing them to manage your business account(s) online. Full access users can:
- view current and historic statements, balances and transactions
- make transfers and payments or amendments to future payments
- create or make amendments to standing orders and cancel direct debits
- register for text alerts
- set up and amend bulk payments (up to 25 payments in one batch)
- apply for a business loan, apply for and obtain an overdraft and apply for a savings account.
-
Non-account signatory
If you aren’t an account signatory you will be given delegate user access – either full access or view-only access, as decided by the business when they authorise your application.
- Full access – A delegate user with full access can perform similar actions to an account signatory user. However, they will be unable to apply for a business loan/overdraft or a savings account and they cannot make a bulk payment limit request.
- View-only access – This option provides access to the business accounts held, enabling the user to see accounts, balances, recent transactions and historic statements, but not carry out any actions.
-
